Disney's highly anticipated sequel, "Moana 2," officially premiered last week, swiftly dominating the global box office with nearly $400 million. Given the sequel's post-credits scene setting up future adventures, a third installment was widely expected. Now, renowned entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman has reportedly revealed that Disney isn't just hinting at a sequel; "Moana 3" is already actively in development. If production progresses smoothly, fans could see the film in just a few years.

The immense success of the "Moana" franchise has not only filled Disney's coffers but also brought significant rewards to its breakout star, Auli'i Cravalho, the voice of Moana. Cravalho reflected on her journey, stating, "When I look back at this entire decade-long journey, I can really see how much I've grown."
Cravalho recalled her humble beginnings, growing up in poverty and relying on government food stamps. Before being cast in "Moana," she lived with her mother (pictured right above). She shared, "When I got cast, we were living in a one-bedroom apartment in Mililani, Hawaii. I slept in the bedroom, and my mom slept on the couch. She gave me everything." Thanks to the franchise's success, her family's financial situation has dramatically improved. She proudly revealed, "I bought my mommy a house, and she's happily retired now."

Cravalho expressed deep gratitude for her parents' sacrifices. She also credited her parents and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who voices Maui, for keeping her grounded and reminding her not to let fame go to her head, emphasizing the importance of still doing chores and staying humble. However, Cravalho admitted that after a long day of work, she sometimes struggled with the motivation to do homework. It was then that she understood how Disney child stars often dedicate all their energy to their careers, leaving little left for their personal lives. Fortunately, her mother consistently reinforced the importance of discipline, leading Cravalho to realize the necessity of balancing her career and personal life.
