A recent video showing a square loaf of "sweaty" Anpanman bread being sliced open has gone viral on Twitter (now X), sparking widespread discussion. Netizens are freaking out, calling it "terrifying," claiming "Anpanman's secrets are too heavy," and declaring "this is just dark!" The horrifying appearance of this bread art has left many utterly shocked.
The post comes from bread artist Ran (@konel_bread), who also runs the "konel" bread school. Ran is known for creating numerous inventive and often surprising, humorous bread designs. However, this latest creation takes a decidedly creepy turn.

The video features a square loaf with a visibly sweating Anpanman plastered on the side, looking as if he's leaning against a wall, utterly exhausted. What seems like a harmless exterior, however, reveals something far more unsettling once the bread is cut: a massive, unsettling amount of Uncle Jam's faces packed inside the entire loaf.
These Uncle Jam faces sport various expressions—smiling, confused, tired—which might seem innocuous at first glance. But upon closer inspection, the sheer volume of disembodied faces creates an intense feeling of unease.

It's worth noting that this isn't Ran's first foray into "horror" bread art. Previously, they created a square loaf featuring a panicked Uncle Jam on the outside, which, when sliced, revealed a huge number of Anpanman faces within.
This latest piece plays on a role reversal between Anpanman and Uncle Jam, creating a scene filled with absurd and dark contrasts. Ran even poked fun at themselves in the post, quipping, "Why did I make this?!" showcasing their humorous self-awareness.
These incredibly creative, yet undeniably eerie, bread artworks have sparked heated discussions online. Many commenters expressed that the bread isn't just confusing but also intensely creepy, as if it's revealing a hidden, dark secret. Regardless, Ran's work once again proves their boundless imagination in bread creation, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating what other "horrifying" loaves might emerge in the future.
