Danish toy company LEGO recently unveiled a new themed product from the "Sonic the Hedgehog" video game series: "40781 Badnik: Crabmeat"! This set is expected to be released as a Gift With Purchase (GWP). While further release information has not yet been announced, let's take a look at this set.
This set contains a total of 181 pieces. Once assembled, you get a model of Crabmeat, one of the classic enemies from Dr. Eggman's Badniks (バドニック) robot army, along with a Green Hill Zone-style display base that recreates a stage from the "Sonic the Hedgehog" game. Standing approximately 11 cm tall, the Crabmeat, primarily in gray and red, boasts an excellent design. The use of petal elements for its large pincers is a delightful and very LEGO-esque touch! Not only can it be posed in various dynamic ways thanks to its ball joints, but it also conceals a cute animal friend, Tocky the turtle, in its center. It looks fantastic when displayed with the base; overall, it's incredibly charming! We eagerly await the release information.
