BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan is set to release its latest product, the "HG 1/144 Z'Gok (SEED FREEDOM Ver.)", from the theatrical anime film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM on February 22, 2025. Ahead of its release, official new information including the product's box art design and actual sample images has been unveiled.
The Z'Gok appearing in the film is a disguise for the ZGMF-X191M2 Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II, which must operate discreetly due to its nuclear engine violating the Junius Treaty. Its overall design resembles Char's Custom Z'Gok from the original Gundam, equipped with anti-armor 'Zangeki Claw', surface-to-air missiles, and heavy particle beam cannons. Additionally, its back can mount the new 'VOLANTES' propulsion backpack used by the Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II.
The "HG 1/144 Z'Gok (SEED FREEDOM Ver.)" is produced with BANDAI's latest color separation and part division technology, utilizing molded part colors to reproduce the mobile suit's hues as accurately as possible. It also features the "SEED Action System," capable of recreating classic poses from the Gundam SEED series, with bellows structures in the arms and legs and highly articulated abdominal joints to achieve dynamic battle stances from the film.
Through interchangeable parts, the Z'Gok can recreate the red, heat-activated state of its twin "Zangeki Claws." Accessories also include the new "M2X32E VOLANTES" propulsion backpack, identical to the one used by the Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II, which can be fitted with beam effects to reproduce the appearance of its wings deploying beam blades.
Regarding the most anticipated internal mechanism, only the Z'Gok's upper body internal frame is sculpted in the shape of the "Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II" (it can also be directly replaced with the upper body parts from the separately sold "HG 1/144 Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II"). Additionally, a battle-damaged head part is included to reveal its internal structure. The Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II's design on the soles of the feet is also faithfully reproduced.
