BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has officially announced detailed information for the latest product from the new Gundam series anime, 《Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX》, the "HG 1/144 Police Zaku", part of the highly diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla 'HG (High Grade)' series. It is scheduled for release in April 2025.
The MS-06-SSP Police Zaku is a mobile suit deployed by the "SIDE6" colony military police after the One Year War for maintaining public order. It is a modification of the Principality of Zeon's main mass-produced mobile suit during the One Year War, the "MS-06 Zaku", and is equipped with a Zaku Machine Gun, a police baton, and a riot shield. Additionally, there is an MS-06-SSPEX specification used by special forces, which features large thrusters added to the back for long-distance movement and an improved Zaku Machine Gun.
The "HG 1/144 Police Zaku" is produced using Bandai's latest color separation and part division technology, extensively recreating the colors of all parts, and utilizing clear parts for the warning lights on both shoulders. Its spherical thighs, power pipe arrangement, and large thruster nozzles on the back of the thighs, which differ from the original 《Mobile Suit Gundam》 design, all feature precise sculpting.
The head's mono-eye camera features a movable design, and the shoulder sections are equipped with independent articulation mechanisms. The unique hip joint design is also faithfully reproduced, allowing for dynamic posing. Armaments include the Zaku Machine Gun, Heat Hawk, shield, and police baton. The accessories also include dedicated marking stickers, enabling the recreation of various numbers, emblems, and the "Police" text on the shield.
