BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest twelfth installment in its Ultraman articulated figure Shokugan "Shodo Alpha" series, "Shodo Alpha Ultraman 12," slated for release in June 2025.
"Shodo Alpha" is an evolved version of the previous Shodo series, launched in 2022. These Ultraman-themed articulated Shokugan figures stand approximately 10 cm tall and boast faithfully reproduced designs and colors. Compared to the older version, a new independent movable part has been added to the hip joint, significantly improving the leg sculpt and range of motion. Each Ultraman figure will come with dedicated beam effect parts, and can be further enhanced with numerous weapons from the Expansion Parts Set.
The latest 12th installment features the Minato siblings from "Ultraman R/B," who transform into "Ultraman Rosso Flame," "Ultraman Blu Aqua," and "Ultraman Grigio." Also included are two iconic Ultramen from around 1980: "Ultraman Jonias," the protagonist of the anime "The☆Ultraman," and "Ultraman 80," the new generation warrior who debuted five years after the conclusion of Ultraman Leo.

The "Expansion Parts Set" includes weapon-holding hands for Rosso and Blu, along with their exclusive weapon, the "R/B Slugger." It also features a light sphere part to recreate Grigio's support move, "Grigio Charge," an effect part for 80's finisher "Sakcium Beam" (fired from his abdomen), and an effect part for Jonias's finisher, "Planium Beam."
