BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, has announced the upcoming release of the latest product from its monster-themed sitting soft vinyl figure series, "Chinzaju," which combines cool and cute designs. The new item, "Zinogre ~Moonlit Thunder~" from the popular video game "Monster Hunter," is scheduled to launch on March 25, 2025.
First appearing in "Monster Hunter Portable 3rd," Zinogre is a large Fanged Wyvern monster that inhabits mountainous regions. Although it lacks wings and the ability to fly, its limbs are extremely muscular and its movements are highly agile, allowing it to pounce on prey with its powerful forelegs. Its carapace has an electricity-storing function, and its fur can channel electrical energy throughout its body, emitting a brilliant blue glow and unleashing currents powerful enough to rival lightning strikes. The Ogre's Jaw weapons and Divine King armor series, crafted from Zinogre materials, boast excellent thunder elemental properties and thunder resistance, and their cool appearance is also very popular.
The "Monster Hunter Chinzaju Zinogre ~Moonlit Thunder~" figure stands approximately 17 cm tall. It features a cute Q-version rendition of Zinogre in a sitting pose, intently watching under the moonlight as its body begins to charge electricity. However, its sharp, hunting-ready eyes, a pair of massive horns on its head, and powerful paws are sculpted with impressive coolness. The noble azure electric charge plates and clean electrified fur are also faithfully recreated through color application.
