"Hajime no Ippo" Creator George Morikawa Goes Wild with Gunpla Builds, Custom Dioramas Leave Fans Stunned: "Sensei is a True Pro!"

For 35 years and counting, the legendary boxing manga "Hajime no Ippo" has been a staple for countless fans, many of whom grew up with its electrifying story and continue to champion its legacy.

And guess what? Creator George Morikawa isn't just a manga master; he's also been lighting up social media lately, flexing his serious Gunpla building skills! He's not just snapping kits together; he's crafting custom dioramas, meticulously showcasing his builds, and absolutely blowing fans' minds. Talk about sparking some serious buzz!

Morikawa-sensei, who's clearly deep into a "Mobile Fighter G Gundam" obsession lately, recently dropped pics of his hand-built Dragon Gundam, a special tribute for G Gundam's 30th anniversary. He hilariously quipped, "Having to make three heads? Super annoying! Posing it is a nightmare, the joints creak when you move them, and parts just love to fall off..." But despite the struggles, he excitedly declared, "My G Gundam display case is getting livelier by the day!"

Next up, he unveiled his Death Army build, another 30th-anniversary G Gundam tribute. He boasted, "I've built so many of these Devil Army grunt suits before, I didn't even need the instructions this time!" He added, "This mobile suit looks absolutely perfect amidst ruins and rubble. Learned a lot with this one! And then I had Shining Gundam swoop in to save Shinjuku – how's that for storytelling?" Clearly, he's not just building kits; he's crafting entire narratives and meticulously designed dioramas, making his collection truly epic.

But his Gunpla passion isn't limited to G Gundam! He's also finished building the iconic "Kampfer" from "Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket." It's clear Morikawa-sensei is absolutely loving his Gunpla journey.

(To be fair, Morikawa-sensei has always shared his Gunpla builds, but his recent output has been off the charts!)

He even builds his own intricate dioramas, perfect for showcasing his Gunpla masterpieces.

Fans are absolutely gushing over Morikawa's shares, with comments like, "This is seriously amazing, I'm gonna work hard step-by-step to reach Sensei's level!" and "The color schemes are incredible!" Another fan wisely observed, "Even for a veteran manga artist, taking great model photos requires a different eye and skill, not to mention pure passion for the build. Guess it's time to tackle my own backlog!"

If you're curious, definitely give Morikawa-sensei a follow on X! Besides updates on his manga, he shares tons of insights and experiences from his Gunpla builds!
