Director Mike Flanagan, the creative force behind acclaimed Netflix horror series like "The Haunting of Hill House," is returning to the world of Stephen King. Following his adaptations of "Doctor Sleep" and "Gerald's Game," Flanagan is now bringing his third King adaptation, "The Life of Chuck," to the big screen. After dropping a teaser poster just days ago, the film's first teaser trailer was released this morning.

"The Life of Chuck" is based on the Stephen King novella of the same name from his collection "If It Bleeds." The story is structured in three acts, told in reverse chronological order, chronicling the life of Charles "Chuck" Krantz. It begins with his death from a brain tumor at age 39 and concludes with his childhood.

The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Tom Hiddleston, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Mark Hamill. It also reunites Flanagan with several frequent collaborators, including Karen Gillan ("Oculus"), Jacob Tremblay ("Doctor Sleep"), and his wife Kate Siegel, a staple in nearly all of his projects.

Perhaps the most notable name in the cast is Mia Sara, who rose to fame with her roles in "Legend" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." This film marks her return to acting after a 22-year hiatus.
