The original anime series Girls und Panzer, which boldly combines the seemingly mismatched elements of "high school girls" and "tanks," has been rolling for over a decade since its TV debut. Its theatrical run, "Girls und Panzer das Finale," is currently up to its fourth episode, with the six-part grand finale still underway.
Today (March 16), the official announcement dropped: the spinoff manga series Girls und Panzer: More Love Love Operation! (ガールズ&パンツァー もっとらぶらぶ作戦です!) is officially getting an anime adaptation! It's set to be a four-chapter theatrical film series, with the first teaser visual already out and the premiere slated for Winter 2025.

First serialized in Kadokawa's "Monthly Comic Alive" back in 2013, "Girls und Panzer: More Love Love Operation!" (ガールズ&パンツァー もっとらぶらぶ作戦です!) is a delightful spinoff manga. It dives into the daily lives and hilarious antics of the Ōarai Girls' Academy members outside of their intense Sensha-dō competitions, showcasing the charming, fun-filled side of their school life. And for manga fans, the latest 23rd volume hits shelves on March 22!

This new anime project is a powerhouse collaboration between P.A.WORKS and Actas (who handled the main "Girls und Panzer" series production), boasting a seriously stacked production team!
Director: Masami Shimoda (Known for "ZEGAPAIN")
Series Composition / Screenplay: Noboru Kimura (Known for "Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture")
Original Character Design: Humikane Shimada, Isao Sugimoto
Character Design / Chief Animation Director: Isao Sugimoto
Music: Shiro Hamaguchi
Animation Production: P.A.WORKS × Actas

And of course, the beloved voice cast is returning! Your favorite characters will be back, voiced by the original cast members!

Now, for "Girls und Panzer" fans, with "das Finale" still in production, the announcement of *another* new film series might spark some worries about production schedules. But hey, more Ōarai Academy slice-of-life stories? That's probably a win in our books! XD
