Fujimoto Tatsuki's hit manga, Chainsaw Man, blew up with its 2022 anime adaptation, and with Part 2 still dropping chapters, it's a constant buzz among anime fans. Last year at Jump Festa 2025, the big news dropped: Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc was coming in 2025, sending hype levels through the roof!
Today, March 23, at AnimeJapan 2025, the official word came down: Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc is officially hitting theaters on September 19, 2025! They even dropped a second teaser trailer to get us even more hyped.

This is none other than Reze (voiced by Reina Ueda), the character teased at the very end of Chainsaw Man Season 1. In the manga, she's the mysterious girl Denji meets in the rain, whom he famously describes as "super explosively cute!" This movie will center entirely around her, picking up right after the first season and diving into one of the manga's most captivating arcs.

The official team also unveiled new character designs for the movie, showing some subtle differences from the original TV anime.

According to info released last December, the director baton has been passed from Ryū Nakayama to Tatsuya Yoshihara, known for his work on Black Clover. The rest of the crew remains the same, including screenwriter Hiroshi Seko, character designer Kazutaka Sugiyama, and music composer Kensuke Ushio. Fans are eagerly watching to see if MAPPA can turn the tide after some of the mixed reactions to the TV anime.
