As one of Japan's most renowned publishers, Akita Shoten, is currently undergoing renovations at its headquarters. But instead of a boring construction site, they've turned the hoarding into a brilliant, eye-catching display featuring a classic scene from their popular manga series, "Baki"—the iconic "Strongest Father-Son Fight on Earth."
Akita Shoten even released a statement, humorously declaring: "Our headquarters building has collapsed due to the strongest parent-child battle in history!" This witty approach has earned widespread praise from netizens, who are applauding Akita Shoten's creative genius.

The Akita Shoten headquarters, built in 1973, has witnessed the birth of countless classic works. However, due to the building's age, the company decided it was time for a rebuild. The headquarters temporarily relocated to a provisional office in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward on January 6, 2024, with the new building slated for completion in September 2027.

To keep things from getting too dull for local residents, the construction hoarding was specially designed to depict "The Strongest Father-Son Fight on Earth." It even includes a hilarious scene of Baki himself kneeling in a dogeza (a deep bow of apology) to apologize to the neighbors! It's not just fun; it's genuinely chuckle-worthy.

Commenting on this creative stunt, Takashi Sawa, the original editor of the "Baki" series and current Managing Director at Akita Shoten, shared his sentiments: "New manga! New worlds!! New eras!!! This creative energy exploded during Baki and Yujiro's 'Strongest Father-Son Showdown on Earth'! As a result, our old headquarters was utterly destroyed by them! (Laughs) Akita Shoten is entering a new era! We kindly ask for our neighbors' understanding...!"
Even Akita Shoten's Representative Director and President, Tokuji Yamaguchi, weighed in: "Due to the building's age, this demolition was unavoidable, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. However, if everyone could imagine that behind this hoarding, the ultimate showdown of the Hanma family is taking place, perhaps you could enjoy the construction site scenery a little more... Well, that might just be wishful thinking on our part! (Laughs) In any case, we appreciate your patience!"

Even netizens who saw it commented, "If that's the reason, then there's really nothing we can do, LOL!"

Now, the construction site has become a quirky landmark, with many fans even planning pilgrimages to check it out. Seriously, coming up with such a creative idea for a building renovation is just pure genius and guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
