The popular alloy toy "METAL BUILD" series, issued by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced its latest product, "God Gundam & God Gundam II," from "Mobile Fighter G Gundam," scheduled for release in August 2025. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store PREMIUM BANDAI.
GF13-017NJII God Gundam is the latest cutting-edge Mobile Fighter (MF) independently developed by Dr. Mikamura. As the successor to protagonist Domon Kasshu's previous machine, many of its performance and armament features are similar to the "Shining Gundam." It is equipped with the "Energy Multiplier System," which converts Domon's ki into energy, significantly boosting overall performance when "Super Mode" is activated. The six radiator fins on its back form a halo of light, granting the unit a magnetic coating, and allowing it to unleash the incredibly passionate special move "Bakunetsu God Finger." In the third part of the 30th-anniversary side story "San Kyō Shin Den" (Three Heroes' New Legend), Domon piloted the enhanced specification "God Gundam II," which is composed of a new core fighter. Each part on its back wings features a separation mechanism, allowing them to be used as independent weapons.
The "METAL BUILD God Gundam & God Gundam II" is thoroughly supervised by General Director Yasuhiro Imagawa. It is a highly poseable finished model of God Gundam, incorporating alloy materials and produced with the latest modern technology, featuring a wealth of articulated joints and mechanisms to express God Gundam's functions as depicted in its original setting. In addition to the anime version of God Gundam, the product also allows for the reproduction of the enhanced specification "God Gundam II" from the side story through interchangeable parts.
The God Gundam main body not only allows for dynamic combat poses thanks to its flexible articulation design, but also features a chest armor deployment mechanism and a back-mounted solar halo effect to represent its Super Mode activation. Furthermore, interchangeable clear hand effect parts can recreate the special move "Bakunetsu God Finger." When the backpack is replaced to transform into "God Gundam II," the parts on the back wings can be combined to form armaments such as a guandao, long staff, nunchaku, three-section staff, and short fork.
