Tunshi Studio, known for developing numerous realistic action figures, has obtained official SNK authorization to release a 1/6 scale articulated figure of the popular character "Nakoruru" from their classic fighting game "Samurai Shodown II". It is scheduled for release in September 2025, with a suggested retail price of 63,800 JPY.

SNK's "Samurai Shodown" (SAMURAI SPIRITS) is likely familiar to everyone. It first appeared in arcades in 1993. A defining characteristic of the series is that each character possesses their own unique weapon, making it the progenitor of weapon-based fighting games where combatants clash with blades. The game's special effects, such as blood sprays and dismemberment, were also among its selling points.
Nakoruru can be considered the game's heroine. She is an Ainu priestess from Hokkaido who, to protect the natural environment, bravely fights against the source of evil with her short sword "Chichiusi" and her best companion, the hawk "Mamahaha." Highly popular, she has appeared in every installment of Samurai Shodown and frequently makes guest appearances in other games like "The King of Fighters," even having games and OVA animations centered around her.
This 1/6 scale articulated figure of Nakoruru by Tunshi Studio stands approximately 26 cm tall. Its design primarily references her appearance in "Samurai Shodown II," featuring her white-based, red-trimmed miko (priestess) attire. The clothing and gauntlets are made of fabric, and combined with a highly articulated body, the figure achieves remarkable realism. Accessories include interchangeable hand parts, her signature short sword, Nakoruru's companion, the hawk "Mamahaha" (ママハハ), slashing effect parts, and a display stand. The overall content is quite rich, making it a worthwhile collectible for SNK fighting game fans.
