Chinese model manufacturer HanaBee, with authorization from Kodansha, has unveiled two new products based on the popular anime "Skip and Loafer" on its official Weibo account: "Mitsumi Iwakura" and "Sousuke Shima" 1/7 scale pre-painted figures. The suggested retail price is 399 RMB per figure, with an anticipated release in October 2025!
"Skip and Loafer" is a manga series by Misaki Takamatsu, serialized in "Monthly Afternoon" since 2018. In 2023, it was adapted into a TV anime by P.A. Works. It tells the story of Mitsumi Iwakura, a girl who moves alone from a remote town in Ishikawa Prefecture to Tokyo for high school, where she is helped by Sousuke Shima, a boy born and raised in Tokyo, and together with her classmates, they navigate their daily school life.
These two 1/7 scale pre-painted figures feature the characters in their Tsubame West High School uniforms. Shima-kun stands approximately 30 cm tall, sculpted in a dynamic pose holding a clear umbrella. Mitsumi, approximately 23 cm tall, is depicted in a pose preparing to open a red umbrella. The sculpting meticulously captures the wrinkle details on both of their uniforms, and Mitsumi's panda charm on her school bag is also faithfully reproduced! The bases are designed to resemble wooden flooring and can be combined using a slot-in mechanism, creating an adorable scene as if on a rainy afternoon, with the two preparing to share an umbrella on their way home!
