Authored by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka, the popular light novel series "Re: Zero - Starting Life in Another World," which has seen multiple TV anime and game adaptations, recently wrapped up its third season and swiftly announced a fourth season is already in the works.
But wait, for April Fool's Day, the official "Re: Zero" team pulled out all the stops with a wild new project! They announced an otome game-style title, "Re: Zero - Starting School Life in Another World," complete with a fresh visual and a promotional video. They even got the original voice actors to record lines, leaving fans in stitches over just how seriously they took this prank! LOL.
This wasn't just some half-baked April Fool's joke; the official team even launched an official website for it!
The story is set at "Lugnica Academy," where a legend whispers: "Those who truly savor their youth will find lifelong happiness." You play as a new student who, on the very first day, gets swept into a bizarre incident that lands you in the student council. Now, you have to win over the hearts of these intensely unique student council members!?
You can romance characters like protagonist Natsuki Subaru, "Sword Saint" Reinhard van Astrea, "Finest Knight" Julius Euclius, and Felix Argyle, all set for romantic encounters within the student council. You can even head over to the official website to hear special voice lines recorded by the cast! Seriously, are April Fool's jokes this elaborate now? LOL.
And there's even a PV! With Emilia's voice actress, Rie Takahashi, taking on the role of the protagonist, this whole thing looks so legit, it's almost like they're actually releasing a game! XD
Seriously, official April Fool's projects these days are next-level in their dedication! With this level of polish, shouldn't they just go ahead and make this otome game for real? Just sayin'!
