Japan's Megahouse toy company, under its high-quality "G.E.M." series which brings anime and manga characters to life as figures, is once again launching a new product based on the classic anime "Gintama", following the "Gintoki" release: "Hijikata-san in My Palm". The suggested retail price is 8,250 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in August 2025!
Based on Toshizo Hijikata, the Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi, the Shinsengumi's Demon Vice-Commander, Toshiro Hijikata, is one of the more normal members of the Shinsengumi, responsible for making sarcastic remarks and dealing with various problems. He is also known as the "Brain of the Shinsengumi". He has a handsome appearance, always has a cigarette in his mouth, and gives off a very cool impression. However, due to his extreme obsession with mayonnaise, he can squeeze large amounts of mayonnaise onto anything he eats, and has even developed mayonnaise-based dishes such as "Hijikata Special Ochazuke". As a result, he has almost no luck with women.
The "G.E.M. Hijikata-san in My Palm" transforms Hijikata into a palm-sized figure, measuring only about 9 cm, yet the sculpting is by no means sloppy! It adopts his standard appearance in the Shinsengumi uniform, with his jacket casually draped over his shoulder, revealing the fitted undershirt; his rolled-up sleeves and arms are also very charming!
