The 'MODEROID' assembly model series, launched by Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, has announced its latest product from the anime 'Gunbuster 2' (Diebuster), the 'Buster Machine No. 7', scheduled for release in October 2025.
The heroine of 'Gunbuster 2' (Diebuster), Nono, appears outwardly as an energetic, emotional human girl, but is actually an android composed entirely of machinery, a sixth-generation interstellar combat weapon, the 'Buster Machine No. 7', built during the Golden Age of the Earth Empire. Although her stature is only 172 cm, comparable to a human, she can utilize the incredibly powerful 'Physical Reactor' to rewrite the laws of physics around her, performing abilities such as instantaneous movement, altering matter and energy structures, and generating multiple micro black holes. Furthermore, she can command thousands of 'Buster Machine Legions' to compensate for her small size, enabling long-range, wide-area attacks.
The 'MODEROID Buster Machine No. 7' is composed of multi-colored molded parts, clear parts, and partially pre-painted parts. Once assembled, it stands approximately 16 cm tall, faithfully recreating the 'Flagship Horn' (ahoge) on her head used to command the legion, her distinctive goggles, and the white scarf given by her sister. In addition to pre-painted face parts, unpainted 'normal face,' 'smiling face,' and 'open-mouth face' parts are included, along with dedicated water-slide decals, allowing users to create their preferred eye lines.
The entire body features flexible articulation. The Flagship Horn on her head also has a ball joint for angle adjustment. Her arms can be replaced with alternative parts to recreate the iconic 'GAINAX Pose' with crossed arms. Her highly mechanical legs come with two types of heel parts: one for appearance and one for self-standing. The impressive 'Triple Hexa-Barrel Missile Silo x8' weapon, which deploys from both sides of her legs in the show, can also be recreated using interchangeable parts.
