From the latest Gundam series anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," set to premiere in April 2025, the new Gunpla product "HG 1/144 Police Zaku" from Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division is scheduled for official release on April 12, 2025. Ahead of its launch, official box art and physical model images have been released!
The MS-06-SSP Police Zaku is a mobile suit deployed by the "SIDE6" Colony Police Force after the One Year War, under the guise of maintaining public order. It is a modification of the Principality of Zeon military's main mass-produced machine during the One Year War, the "MS-06 Zaku," and is equipped with a Zaku Machine Gun, baton, and riot shield. Furthermore, an MS-06-SSPEX specification exists for use by special forces, featuring large thrusters added to the back for long-distance movement and an improved Zaku Machine Gun.
The "HG 1/144 Police Zaku" is produced using Bandai's latest color separation and part division technology, largely reproducing the colors of all parts, and utilizing clear parts for the warning lights above both shoulders. The spherical thighs, power pipe configuration, and large thruster nozzles on the rear of the thighs, which differ from the original "Mobile Suit Gundam" design, all feature precise sculpting.
The mono-eye camera on the head features an articulated design, and the shoulder sections are equipped with independent articulation mechanisms. The unique hip joint design is also faithfully reproduced, allowing for dynamic posing. Armaments include a Zaku Machine Gun, Heat Hawk, shield, and baton. The accessories also include a dedicated body marking decal sheet, allowing for the reproduction of various numbers, markings, and the "POLICE" text on the shield.
