Japan's SEGA game company's prize division, SEGA Prize, will release a new product themed after "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time" in its popular Luminasta series – "Shikinami Asuka Langley x Cassius' Spear" – to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the "Neon Genesis Evangelion" TV anime series. It is scheduled to be released as a prize item in September 2025!
Asuka appears in the New Theatrical Edition under the name "Shikinami Asuka Langley," following the anti-NERV organization "WILLE" led by Misato Katsuragi, and continues to serve as the pilot of Unit-02. In "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," it was revealed that she, like Rei Ayanami, is a created "Eligible One."
This Shikinami Asuka Langley x Cassius' Spear figure depicts Asuka in her New Theatrical Edition design, raising the Cassius' Spear. The sculpting faithfully recreates her slender physique, showcasing the muscle curves enveloped by her plugsuit. A glossy paint finish is used to capture the patent leather texture of the plugsuit, and the intricate, intertwined details of the Cassius' Spear are meticulously reproduced! The base features red rubble and H-beams, with enhanced light and shadow effects applied through painting. It can be displayed alongside the "Kaworu Nagisa x Lance of Longinus" figure, released in August, to showcase the powerful charm of the New Theatrical Edition style!
