Japan's RE-MENT toy company, known for creating exquisite accessories and miniature models, recently announced a new product from the super popular Japanese national work "Crayon Shin-chan": the "Crayon Shin-chan Terrarium Vol. 2: A Bustling Everyday Life!" (tentative translation, クレヨンしんちゃんテラリウム2 おさわがせな日常だゾ) box set! It is scheduled for release on July 28, 2025, with a suggested retail price of 1,200 JPY per box, and a total of six styles to collect.
This terrarium collection, themed around "Crayon Shin-chan," not only perfectly preserves every adorable moment of Shin-chan but also features transparent containers resembling crystal balls or ship-in-a-bottle designs, allowing you to easily display beautiful and humorous scenes on your desk or shelf. The six styles in this collection include Shin-chan running with Shiro, Shin-chan swinging as if about to fly, Shin-chan making a funny face at Himawari, Shin-chan enjoying a beach vacation with his sister, Shin-chan snuggled in a kotatsu eating snacks, and Shin-chan reluctantly running errands with a bump on his head.
This work is incredibly appealing, from the vivid character portrayals to the small details embedded within the scenes. For instance, Shiro snuggled in the kotatsu with Shin-chan, showing his adorable backside (which can also be turned to show his head!), is just too cute! Plus, the base features a three-dimensional embossed "Crayon Shin-chan" English logo and Mr. Croco (ワニ山), and the cork stopper at the bottle's mouth is printed with Shin-chan's image.
