Produced by Japan's PLEX company and released by X-PLUS company, the "FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE" series, which commercializes GK models created by renowned sculptors into finished products, announced the latest product for "Ultraseven," the "Eleking," adopting the "GIGANTIC SERIES" specifications, is scheduled for release in July 2025.
The cosmic monster Eleking, designed by Tohl Narita, first appeared in the third episode of "Ultraseven," which aired in 1967. It is a giant beast cultivated by the Pitt Aliens in Lake Azuma for the invasion of Earth, capable of receiving and being controlled by command signals from the Pitt Aliens. Despite Eleking's seemingly cute and harmless appearance, resembling a sea slug, it possesses an extra-long and flexible tail that can bind enemies and unleash 500,000 volts of electric shock. Additionally, multiple parts of its body can emit powerful discharge beams for attack. The highly popular Eleking has subsequently reappeared in numerous "Ultraman" works, making it one of the few monsters in the series to span the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras, and was once voted the most impressive monster in "Ultraseven."
The "GIGANTIC SERIES FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Eleking" recreates the original sculpt by renowned Japanese kaiju sculptor Masao Inoue (Inoue Arts) at an impressive size of approximately 50 cm in total length. It meticulously captures details such as the scythe-shaped movable antennae on its head, the skin folds across its body, and its extra-long tail. Furthermore, it features a built-in LED light-up mechanism, allowing its mouth to glow when batteries are inserted.
