Kotobukiya, the Japanese model manufacturer, in collaboration with illustrator Morikura En, has announced the latest product in their everyday-style bishojo plastic model kit series, "Sousai Shojo Teien": "Yakushiji Kuon [Momozakura High School Uniform]", scheduled for release in September 2025.
Yakushiji Kuon, a third-year student at Momozakura High School, is usually a somewhat clumsy young lady, but once in front of the camera, she transforms into a genius actress capable of exquisite performances. After entering the entertainment industry through extracurricular activities, she, who was originally a pampered young lady from a prestigious family, had the opportunity to portray various roles. The most representative of these is Kagari Maria, the heroine of the popular hero show "Infinite Encounter Megalomaria."
"Yakushiji Kuon [Momozakura High School Uniform]" is a modified version based on the previously released "Kagari Maria Costume". It utilizes numerous new parts and new molding colors to recreate Yakushiji Kuon's everyday young lady image, including a new miko-like hairstyle and pre-painted expression parts such as a calm "smiling face," a "fan service face," and a "laughing face."
The lower body does not use the double joints or movable skirt parts from the "Kagari Maria Costume" version. Instead, similar to previous "Sousai Shojo Teien" characters, it uses new sculpting to recreate the student leather shoe design. It also includes three types of skirt parts – "normal," "flowing," and "sitting" – to accommodate various poses.
The upper body parts reuse the sailor uniform specifications from the "Kagari Maria Costume" version. The white lines on the collar and cuffs are pre-painted. It features movable designs such as pull-out shoulder joints, double-jointed elbows, chest and abdomen twist joints for front, back, left, and right movement, and a neck ball joint that can slide back and forth. These allow for various flexible poses when combined with new accessories like the display stand, popsicle, school bag, and smartphone.
