Japan's SEGA Games' SEGA PRIZE Premium Chokonose series has announced that it will release "Yoshiki / Hikaru" sitting character figures based on the popular work "The Summer Hikaru Died," with a scheduled release in autumn 2025!
The anime "The Summer Hikaru Died," scheduled to air in summer 2025, is adapted from the manga of the same name by Mokumokuren (モクモクれん). The story centers on childhood friends Yoshiki and Hikaru. However, after Yoshiki finally asks, "You're not Hikaru, are you?", their ordinary daily life is instantly shattered... Although the "person" before him appears to be Hikaru, in reality, six months prior, after Hikaru disappeared in the mountains for a week and returned, Hikaru's body had already been possessed by some "thing"... Although Yoshiki tries to pretend nothing has changed, strange murders gradually begin to occur in the village.
The SEGA PRIZE Chokonose "Yoshiki / Hikaru" sitting character figures recreate Yoshiki and Hikaru's after-school routine of sitting together and eating. Yoshiki's gloomy expression contrasts with Hikaru's nonchalant demeanor, and the difference in their personalities can also be felt from their poses, fully conveying the eerie and melancholic atmosphere of the work!
