Director Mike Flanagan, known for his acclaimed adaptations of Stephen King's "Doctor Sleep" and "Gerald's Game," is set to release his latest King-inspired film, "The Life of Chuck," this summer. The second official trailer for the movie premiered today.
"The Life of Chuck" is based on the novella of the same name from Stephen King's collection "If It Bleeds." The narrative unfolds in three acts, presented in reverse chronological order, tracing the life of its protagonist, Charles "Chuck" Krantz, from his death at 39 due to a brain tumor back to his childhood. The film is slated for a theatrical release in select U.S. theaters on June 6, 2025, before expanding nationwide on June 13.

The film features a star-studded cast including Tom Hiddleston as Charles "Chuck" Krantz, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Marty Anderson, and Mark Hamill as Albie Krantz, Chuck's paternal grandfather. Flanagan also reunites with several frequent collaborators, such as Karen Gillan, who previously worked with him on "Oculus"; Jacob Tremblay, from "Doctor Sleep"; and his wife, Kate Siegel, who has appeared in most of his projects.
A significant highlight among the cast is Mia Sara, who gained recognition early in her career with roles in "Legend" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." This marks her return to acting after a hiatus that began in 2013.
