Ever tried your hand at needle felting, fellow pop culture enthusiasts? This fun craft lets you create all sorts of amazing things. We've previously featured a Japanese artist who crafted a stunning wool felt Sinanju from 'Mobile Suit Gundam UC', proving just how much creative potential this medium holds.
Today, we're shining a spotlight on another creator, Masa (@masa1225kami), who recently shared his mind-blowing needle-felted Pokémon: a colossal Rayquaza stretching over two meters long! Not only is the likeness spot-on, but the intricate details and sheer scale of it have left countless netizens absolutely floored by his craftsmanship.

Masa isn't new to this; he previously gained attention for his needle-felted Pokémon, Wurmple.
This time, he tackled one of the legendary Pokémon, Rayquaza, and the finished piece measures a staggering 210 cm! The entire creation took over 40 hours – that's absolutely wild! This thing is practically big enough to be a room mascot!
So, why the giant needle-felted Rayquaza? Turns out, Masa, who's also a streamer, was undertaking a unique challenge: playing 'Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire' using only Pokémon he crafted himself from wool felt! He explained, "The game's story requires Rayquaza to stop a meteor, so I frantically rushed to finish it!"

It took him nearly a month of spare time to painstakingly sculpt the prototype from scratch. He even admitted that once he realized just how massive it was becoming, he decided to just roll with it and finish the colossal creation anyway!

And get this – the eyes are even interchangeable! How adorable is that?!

Masa has actually crafted many other needle-felted Pokémon before, like the aforementioned Wurmple, plus Groudon, Gyarados, and more! You can check out all his amazing creations on his X account if you're curious!
