Cygames' original mecha anime, "Brave Bang Bravern!", was a breakout hit last year, captivating fans with its unique blend of mecha action and classic hero tropes. Even after its broadcast concluded, the show's popularity hasn't waned, with various events still rolling out.
Today (May 16), a new collaboration kicked off with Fukushima Prefecture's Spa Resort Hawaiians, featuring a special "Hula Bravern" event that's already drawing tons of fans and sparking online buzz. Even anime director Masami Obari himself got in on the action!
One fan visiting the resort snapped a pic of a hula dancer billboard, only to find a "Hula Bravern" photo subtly tucked in, exclaiming, "What are you even doing here, dude?! www"
Seriously, how can you resist this alluring Bravern, complete with a grass skirt, lei, and arms crossed? All you mecha fans out there, are you feeling the love (or the cringe)?
Even the resort's fire dance troupe photos got a "Brave Bang Bravern!" makeover, with Isami Ao and Lewis Smith making a stealthy appearance, both rocking summer outfits and showing off their impressive physiques.
Head to the water park, and you'll spot a life-sized Bravern banner hanging high above. But it also had netizens doing a double-take, realizing that Bravern might not be as huge as they imagined. Still, totally worth the pilgrimage! XD
Responding to fans' playful "Bravern, what are you doing here?!" comments, Director Masami Obari cleverly retweeted, saying, "My Bravern, I'm truly sorry..." But let's be real, isn't this exactly what everyone wanted to see?! XD
Over a year since its debut, "Brave Bang Bravern!" shows no signs of losing steam, with collaborations continuing to heat up. If you're planning a trip to check out the resort, the event runs from May 16 to July 18, 2025. Don't miss out!
