Japanese model maker PROOF has announced the upcoming release of their latest pre-painted finished figure, "Kamina & Gurren," from the hot-blooded robot anime "Gurren Lagann," scheduled for December 2025.
Kamina, like the protagonist Simon, hails from the underground "Jiiha Village." Though often a troublemaker in the village, his passion and ambition for the surface world were stronger than anyone else's, refusing to be confined underground his entire life. Kamina's personality was one of absolute trust in his comrades, never abandoning the weak, and believing that any difficulty could be overcome with sheer "guts." He led Simon as an elder brother to explore the unknown surface world and commanded the Gurren Brigade as a leader against the Beastmen army. Even though he died heroically early in the series, his beliefs profoundly influenced the future growth of Simon, Yoko, and the entire Gurren Brigade.
PROOF's "Kamina & Gurren" brings to life a new illustration drawn specifically for this product by anime director Hiroyuki Imaishi (TRIGGER). Standing at an impressive 26.5 cm tall, the large-scale figure sculpts Kamina in a dynamic pose, standing on Gurren's palm, clad in the Gurren Brigade cape, and wielding a katana with powerful presence.
The figure faithfully recreates the tension-filled composition from director Hiroyuki Imaishi's artwork, with exceptional sculpting and paintwork that captures Kamina's muscular physique, the tattered edges and emblem of the Gurren Brigade cape. Gurren's palm features robust, curved armor plating, finished with various metallic colors such as metallic red and metallic gray to convey texture. The red sunglasses part is also detachable.
