Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company HOBBY Division today announced the latest model kit product from the new anime "Mashin Souseiden", "Shinryu Ohmaru", scheduled for release on June 21, 2025.
"Mashin Souseiden" is a completely new work that inherits the essence and some settings of "Mashin Hero Wataru", passing this series on to the next generation. The protagonist, Wataru Hoshibe, is a fourth-grade elementary school video creator who dreams of becoming a superstar. One day, he is summoned to the alternate world "Chubukai" to become a savior. In this block-filled alternate world, reminiscent of a sandbox game, Wataru can use blocks to create various objects, including the Mashin "Ryujinmaru" which houses a dragon soul. They embark on a journey to defeat the final boss "Enjodatsu", fighting alongside companions such as the swordsman Mifurain and popular VTuber Maro.
To defeat the final boss Enjodatsu's Mashin "Dai Enjumaru", the two saviors, Wataru Hoshibe and Kakeru Amabe, used their powerful creativity to fuse the power of the secret treasure "Seven-Colored Blocks" with Ryujinmaru and Koryumaru, creating the ultimate Mashin, "Shinryu Ohmaru". Its appearance combines the characteristic features of the Four Sacred Beasts and possesses powerful armaments such as the "Divine Creation Dragon Sword" and "Divine Ring of Light".
The "Shinryu Ohmaru" model kit utilizes multi-colored molded parts in white, gold, black, and clear blue to create a sacred and majestic design that incorporates the characteristic features of the Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, and Black Tortoise. The twin dragon crests on its shoulders are made with metallic gold parts, while the "Divine Creation Dragon Sword" and "Divine Ring of Light" are reproduced using clear blue parts.
The frame also adopts the common structure of the "Mashin Souseiden" model kit series. In addition to achieving excellent articulation within its 3-4 head-tall proportion, allowing for the reproduction of in-show battle scenes and special moves, it also allows for free interchangeability of parts such as the head, body, limbs, and armor using compatible pegs and joints, enabling the creation of unique Mashin by mixing and matching parts from the "Mashin Souseiden" series.
