Japanese brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted PVC figure series, POP UP PARADE, is releasing a new product based on the popular anime "Dandadan" – the "Okarun" non-scale pre-painted figure. The suggested retail price is 5,500 JPY, with an estimated release in December 2025!
The male protagonist, Ken Takakura, went alone to a famous haunted tunnel after a bet with Momo. Unexpectedly, he was cursed by the yokai "High-Speed Grandma" lurking in the tunnel, who stole his testicles. After successfully repelling the Grandma, he made a deal with her, allowing him to continuously use her abilities. Momo, displeased that Takakura shared a name with her favorite idol and because Takakura liked occult things, always called him "Okarun."
This POP UP PARADE Okarun stands approximately 17 cm tall. It captures the dynamic pose from episode 4 of the anime, where he was being chased by the earthbound spirits of Seino City, his bulletproof vest for fighting evil spirits torn by the Grandma, and his hair flowing after Okarun's transformation. The sculpting faithfully reproduces the wrinkle details on his traditional attire and the muscle lines of his hands and feet. His iconic mask and hairstyle are also delicately recreated. The glasses are made from clear colored material, and the High-Speed Grandma, pinched by Momo and emerging from the side of his neck like a parasite, is also depicted, exquisitely recreating his unique appearance from the battle in Seino City!
