LEGO, a phenomenon for nearly 90 years, remains a beloved pastime for kids and adults alike. Many use these versatile bricks to build their favorite creations, and the community is full of master builders who craft everything from Gunpla and robots to intricate artworks, showcasing LEGO's endless possibilities.
Today, we're spotlighting Japanese LEGO maestro M.Rosso ( @Rosso41167 ), who loves taking official LEGO sets and reassembling them into entirely new forms. Recently, he shared his incredible transformation of the "75403 Grogu and the Hoverpram" set into the "NRX-055 Baund Doc" mobile suit from "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam." His ingenious build has earned widespread praise from netizens!

The NRX-055 Baund Doc was an experimental MA (Mobile Armor) developed by the Earth Federation Forces' radical organization, the Titans, for Newtype and Cyber Newtype pilots with special abilities. It was the first transformable mobile suit to feature a movable frame. In MA form, the cockpit is hidden within the skirt armor, providing exceptional defense and acceleration. In MS (Mobile Suit) form, its flexible upper body, equipped with claws and a shield, allows for outstanding close-quarters combat.

While most builders create entirely new models from scratch, M.Rosso's unique approach involves deconstructing and repurposing official sets. For this project, he completely re-imagined the "75403 Grogu and the Hoverpram" set from the "Star Wars" series.
This particular Baund Doc (Unit 3) is piloted by Titans Lieutenant Jerid Messa. Although the colors are a bit mismatched and it looks a little cobbled together, M.Rosso explained that he flipped the original hoverpram parts to serve as the base for the skirt armor, perfectly capturing the Baund Doc's distinctive skirt.

▼ He even made a custom Jerid Messa minifigure!

Honestly, the proportions are a bit off, but with a few swapped parts, it can still transform into its MA form.
This mobile suit is nearly 40 cm tall, with clawed feet, an asymmetrical design, and a massive skirt armor, making the front-to-back balance incredibly tricky to manage. Surprisingly, though, its balance in MS form is quite good!

And of course, you need a shot facing off against his arch-nemesis, Kamille! XD

While the color scheme hasn't been repainted, it's truly impressive to see such creativity unleashed using only official LEGO set components. M.Rosso's X (formerly Twitter) account features many similar creations, so if you're curious, definitely go check them out for some inspiration!
