YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE just dropped its 579th episode, featuring the debut performance of ANISAMA FRIENDS! This special limited-time group was formed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Animelo Summer Live (aka Anisama), the world's biggest anime song festival, which has been a must-attend annual event for anime music fans since 2005.

The ANISAMA FRIENDS lineup is stacked with powerhouse artists who've graced the Anisama stage over the years, including angela, Masayoshi Oishi, Masami Okui, TrySail, and FLOW.
For their performance, they tackled the legendary opening theme "Butter-Fly" from the anime "Digimon Adventure," originally sung by Koji Wada. This track is practically an anthem in the anime song world, having resonated with fans across generations for over two decades worldwide.
True to THE FIRST TAKE's signature style, the artists performed in a stark white studio with just one microphone, nailing the entire song in a single, unedited take. Their powerful and emotional rendition of "Butter-Fly" delivered all the passion and excitement directly to the audience, offering fans a truly unique audio and visual experience.
According to the show's producers, THE FIRST TAKE aims to capture the performers' most authentic voices and emotions "in the moment." This collaboration is set to be a memorable highlight for Anisama's 20th anniversary celebrations.
