The popular alloy toy series "Chogokin Damashii", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced the latest product, "Voltes V", from the Philippine live-action series "Voltes V: Legacy", scheduled for release in February 2026.
The protagonist machine in the series, "Voltes V", is a super robot built to combat the Boazanian Empire's giant battle machines, the "Beast Fighters". It is composed of five Volt Machines: Volt Cruiser, Volt Bomber, Volt Panzer, Volt Frigate, and Volt Lander. When the five machines arrange themselves in a V-formation and shout "LET’S VOLT IN!", they combine into robot form, utilizing weapons such as the "Laser Sword", "Chodenji Goma (Super Electromagnetic Top)", and "Chodenji String (Super Electromagnetic Whip)" to unleash powerful special moves.
The "Chogokin Damashii GX-118 Voltes V" is based on the 3DCG model used in the series, precisely recreating the five machines—Volt Cruiser, Volt Bomber, Volt Panzer, Volt Frigate, and Volt Lander—with alloy action figure specifications. It features high-density exterior armor detailing and is finished with cool and substantial multi-metallic paint applications. All five machines can be displayed simultaneously using the dedicated stand. Furthermore, the five machines possess a precise transformation and combination mechanism, allowing them to combine into "Voltes V", standing approximately 24 cm tall, without the need for part swapping, or to recreate the "Heavy Tank Mode" with some dedicated parts.
In "Voltes V" form, it still boasts flexible articulated joint designs and comes with the Laser Sword, Chodenji Goma (Super Electromagnetic Top), Chodenji String (Super Electromagnetic Whip), replacement parts to recreate the "Voltes Bazooka" hidden within both arms, and various interchangeable hand parts. Both "Chodenji Strings" are made of freely bendable material, and by swapping the front parts, the "Chodenji Goma" can be recreated, allowing for dynamic battle poses. The "Laser Sword" can be posed above the head, recreating the special move stance, thanks to the shoulder joint articulation mechanism.
