Megahouse, a Japanese model manufacturer, has unveiled a painted prototype for a new product, "FigUnity Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" as part of its new 'FigUnity' series. This series gathers characters from the same work and presents them in chibi-style scenes. The release date is yet to be determined.
The story of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" centers on its protagonist, Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl living a peaceful daily life in a space colony, who always feels a sense of unreality. One day, she encounters Nyaan, a war refugee girl, and Shuji, a boy piloting a Gundam. In a moment of crisis, Amate Yuzuriha seizes the mysterious mobile suit "GQuuuuuuX" to fight, becoming embroiled in the illegal MS dueling competition known as "Clan Battle." From then on, she adopts the alias "Machu" and dedicates herself to fierce battles daily.
"FigUnity Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" features the three protagonists, Machu, Nyaan, and Shuji, along with their mechanical partners Haro and Gonki, all rendered in adorable, low-head-to-body ratio chibi-style. The figures utilize the same vibrant colors and base design as seen in the anime, capturing their cute appearance as they bask in a "sparkling" scene.
