Tatsuki Fujimoto's hit manga Chainsaw Man just dropped its first theatrical anime, "Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc," in Japan and Taiwan, absolutely crushing the box office and reigniting the hype for the series.
But that's not all! Kenshi Yonezu's theme song for the film, "IRIS OUT," just stormed the Billboard Global 200 chart, landing at an incredible No. 5. It also rocketed to No. 2 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart. Not only did it smash into the Top 10 on both, but it also snagged the highest-ever ranking for a Japanese song on the Global 200!
The track's weekly numbers are absolutely wild: 45.1 million global streams (a whopping 105% jump from the previous week!) and 19,000 digital downloads sold (up 12%). In Japan, it's already crowned the Billboard JAPAN "JAPAN Hot 100" chart. And globally, it hit No. 5, making it the highest-charting Japanese song ever on the Global 200.
On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, "IRIS OUT" absolutely exploded from No. 12 last week to a stunning No. 2! A massive 97% of its streams and 99% of its downloads came from outside the U.S. This marks Yonezu's second time cracking the Top 10 on that chart, shattering his previous record of No. 4 with "KICK BACK" in 2022 and setting a new personal best.

This absolutely crushed the previous record of 31.13 million streams set by K-pop sensation BTS with "Butter" in 2021, setting a new all-time high for weekly streams.
What's more, the No. 2 spot on this week's Oricon Streaming Chart also belongs to Yonezu, with his duet "JANE DOE" featuring Hikaru Utada! This means the "Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc" theme song and ending song have completely dominated the top two spots – talk about an incredible feat!
With "Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc" tearing up the box office worldwide and Kenshi Yonezu's single "IRIS OUT" dropping last week and absolutely dominating the music charts, it looks like this hype train isn't slowing down anytime soon!
