The popular die-cast action figure line 『METAL BUILD』, released by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced a new entry in its new sub-branch 『METAL BUILD EX PROJECT』 series: "Ikaruga" from the anime version of "Knight's & Magic". The release date is yet to be determined.
Ikaruga
is a Silhouette Knight designed by the protagonist, Ernesti Echevalier, who retains memories of his past life as a Japanese person. Its appearance features a unique armored samurai design compared to other models, equipped with four flexible and powerful auxiliary arms called "Hands of the Moon" and several "Gun-Swords" that can be used for both melee and magic attacks. Its most prominent features are the medium-sized magic converter "Queen's Coronet" in its abdomen and the large "Emperor's Heart" reactor on its back. This immense magical power, combined with its full-body magic-storage armor and magic jet thrusters, achieves the strongest performance in Silhouette Knight history. Its active form is referred to as "Ogre God" by other nations.
The "METAL BUILD EX PROJECT Ikaruga" is based on the anime's design, utilizing die-cast frame parts, luxurious metallic paint, and body marking prints to recreate rich mechanical details. It also features original armor designs on its shoulders that resemble a cape. The articulation mechanism of the four auxiliary arms, "Hands of the Moon," mounted on its back is fully reproduced, allowing for cool poses holding multiple main weapon "Gun-Swords."
