Issued by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the Gunpla series with the most abundant variety of mobile suits, 'HG (High Grade)', has announced the latest product from the 10th-anniversary anime
The YG-111 G-Self was originally a prototype mobile suit developed under the leadership of the Rayhunton family from the space colony nation of Ameria in the series. However, an accident occurred when pilot Raraiya Akuparl was on a reconnaissance mission to Earth, and it eventually became the personal mobile suit of protagonists Aida Surugan and Bellri Zenam. This mobile suit was developed using the 'Hermes Rose Blueprint', which records Universal Century technology. Its appearance is similar to the famous 'Gundam' mobile suits of the Earth Federation Forces at the time. It uses special high-compression photon batteries as its power source, possessing extremely excellent performance and endurance. It is also equipped with an escape core fighter system and a backpack exchange system that can adapt to both Earth and space environments. However, only officially registered pilots with biometric authentication, direct members of the Rayhunton family, can activate the mobile suit.
The main body of the 'HG 1/144 G-Self (Atmospheric Pack & Space Pack) Movie Version Gundam Reconguista in G Ver.' is the same as the previously released Gundam Base Limited 'Perfect Pack Equipped Type'. The kit is an improved version based on the general release from several years ago, with many parts including some joints, head, chest, and shoulders replaced with new parts. It also comes with 3D plastic stickers and ultra-thin color-correcting stickers, making the overall design and articulation structure closer to the in-series settings, reproducing the divine animation-level internal structure of the twin-eye cameras seen in the movie.
The armament accessories retain the old version's Atmospheric Pack, Space Pack, Amerian-made Beam Rifle, Amerian-made Beam Rifle, Beam Saber × 2, Amerian-made Shield, Amerian-made Shield, and Core Fighter, which can be freely interchanged with the main body.
