Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, to commemorate the largest online shopping festival in Bandai Namco Group's history, 'PREMIUM BANDAI FESTIVAL 2025', has announced that the commemorative product from the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM", "METAL ROBOT魂 Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam Final Battle Ver.", will be officially unveiled on October 06, Japan time.
In the latter half of the film, protagonist Kira Yamato pilots the ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II, a new mobile suit improved by Orb using the latest technology. Although its external appearance hasn't changed much, all its armaments, except for the high-energy beam rifle, have been updated. After combining with the new enhanced equipment "Proud Defender" piloted by Lacus Clyne, forming the ZGMF/A-262PD-P Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam, it can utilize ultra-high-power armaments such as the "Convergent Heavy-Energy Beam Cannon" hidden in its forehead and the physical sword "Futsunomitama".
The previously announced "METAL ROBOT魂 Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam Final Battle Ver." currently has a sample on display at the flagship store "TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO" in Akihabara, Tokyo. The product will bundle the previously separately sold "Strike Freedom Gundam Type II" and "Proud Defender". The main body's paint colors and marking designs remain unchanged, but new sculpts for the abdomen, right arm, and right railgun parts are used to recreate battle-damaged appearances. Details regarding any additions or deletions to the accessories will be announced later.
