Hong Kong toy manufacturer threezero has announced the latest product from their collectible robot character model line, 'MDLX', which features a compact size of 3 to 7 inches. The new item, "Voltes V (Voltes V: Legacy Version)", is based on the Philippine live-action series "Voltes V: Legacy" and is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2026.
The protagonist machine in the series, "Voltes V", is a super robot built to combat the Boazanian Empire's giant battle machines, the "Beast Fighters". It is composed of five Voltes Machines: Volt Cruiser, Volt Bomber, Volt Panzer, Volt Frigate, and Volt Lander. When the five machines align in a V-formation and shout "LET’S VOLT IN!", they combine into robot form, unleashing powerful special moves using weapons such as the "Laser Sword", "Super Electromagnetic String", and "Super Electromagnetic Top".
The "MDLX Voltes V (Voltes V: Legacy Version)" is crafted as an articulated figure with a total height of approximately 15 cm. Its design faithfully recreates the in-show body proportions and intricate mechanical structure, showcasing highly dense armor details. It also incorporates threezero's signature metallic paint application techniques, achieving a rich metallic texture with silver, blue, red, and brass colors. For articulation, the figure boasts an impressive 58 points of articulation throughout its body, with some joint parts made of die-cast material, providing both strength and a satisfying weight when handled.
Accessories include the Laser Sword, a Laser Sword with an electromagnetic effect, a Super Electromagnetic Beam effect, a V-formation effect for the combination pose, a "V-Slash" special move effect, an effect-specific display stand, a "Knuckle Missile" hand part, and various interchangeable hand parts. The red armor on the chest is detachable to recreate the pose when using the Laser Sword. Combined with the flexible articulation, collectors can enjoy posing Voltes V in a multitude of cool battle stances!
