Following the "Izuku Midoriya Metallic Ver.," FREEing (株式会社 FREEing), a Japanese toy company, has unveiled another new product in its large-scale "B-style" figure series based on the popular anime "My Hero Academia"—the "Katsuki Bakugo Metallic Ver." 1/4 scale pre-painted figure. It has a suggested retail price of 33,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in May 2026!
Katsuki Bakugo's Quirk is "Explosion." He has a notoriously bad temper and has bullied Midoriya since childhood, even giving him the demeaning nickname "Deku." Yet, like Midoriya, he dreams of becoming a hero just like All Might. His powerful Quirk forged his unyielding personality, and after Midoriya gradually surpassed him, he experienced remarkable mental growth, allowing him to become a formidable hero capable of keeping pace with Midoriya!
This "Katsuki Bakugo Metallic Ver." 1/4 scale pre-painted figure utilizes the same sculpt as the B-style Katsuki Bakugo released in 2022. Standing approximately 30.5 cm tall, it captures his powerful pose, crouching in battle and glaring fiercely upwards. The grenade-shaped hero support gear gauntlets used to collect sweat on his costume and the intricate folds of his clothing are all meticulously reproduced! The biggest highlight this time is the adoption of pearlescent and metallic gloss paint for parts such as his belt, metallic protectors, black battle suit, and the orange X-shaped decoration on his chest. Under light, these areas emit a dazzling metallic sheen, and combined with the gradient effect of the explosions on his arms, they create a visual effect as if he is surrounded by firelight, significantly enhancing the overall dynamism! Furthermore, it can be displayed alongside the previously revealed Midoriya to showcase the two fighting side-by-side!
