TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., has announced that the popular die-cast toy series 'METAL BUILD' will release its latest collaborative product with pop superstar Jay Chou's fashion brand 'PHANTACi', the "PHANTACI Strike Freedom Gundam ver.J", which will be available for pre-order during the 'Bandai Namco Carnival' event in China.

The base for this collaborative product, the "METAL BUILD Strike Freedom Gundam", has been a popular item for TAMASHII NATIONS since its initial release in 2015, undergoing several color variations, revisions, and continuous updates. Its design has been reinterpreted by a team of designers including Yoichi Sakamoto, Koma, and Hiroyuki Hirose. Compared to the standard mechanical weapon image in the original work, it has been given the image of an angel fighting against a devil (Destiny Gundam) and a holy knight evolving from a knight (Freedom Gundam). The entire body armor and the "Super DRAGOON" mobile weapon wings on its back feature more dynamic and fluid contours, showcasing a powerful heroic stance.

The 'PHANTACi' collaborative special color scheme is consistent with previously released collaborative Gundam products. Jay Chou himself provided the concept and supervision, with PHANTACi brand creative director RIC handling the color design. It retains the original luxurious gold-plated frame made of die-cast parts, while fluorescent pink sections and lines are accented on the matte black exterior armor. The eight "Super DRAGOON" mobile weapon wings are crafted with metallic and pearl finishes to create a pink and blue gradient, evoking trendy city neon colors.
