Japan's Furyu Corporation (フリュー株式会社), through its high-quality toy brand "F:NEX," is releasing a new product based on the anime *TIGER×DRAGON!*—the "Taiga Aisaka" 1/7 scale pre-painted figure. It has a suggested retail price of 19,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2026!
*TIGER×DRAGON!* (Toradora!) is a light novel series written by Yuyuko Takemiya and illustrated by Yasu (ヤス). It was adapted into an anime series by J.C.STAFF in 2008. The story is a school romantic comedy that follows the kind-hearted male protagonist, Ryuji Takasu, who has an intimidating face, and the short-statured, hot-headed female protagonist, Taiga Aisaka, known as the "Palmtop Tiger." Their paths cross when they discover they both have crushes on each other's best friends, leading them to form a joint front.
This F:NEX Taiga Aisaka figure stands approximately 18 cm tall and is meticulously sculpted based on the scene from the anime's first opening theme where Taiga is putting on her socks. It perfectly captures her dynamic pose with her right leg crossed over the sofa, pulling up her over-the-knee sock. The intricate sculpting faithfully recreates the wrinkles and folds of her uniform shirt and pleated skirt, while her voluminous, flowing hair is perfectly reproduced. The texture of the leather sofa beneath her feet is also rendered without compromise through careful painting and sculpting. The lifelike pose, with one foot bare and the other wearing a sock, is absolutely fantastic! Furthermore, pre-orders placed on the official website will include an exclusive pouting, angry face part, allowing for an even more complete recreation of her appearance in the opening theme!
