Threezero, the renowned Hong Kong-based collectible figure brand, under its new robot alloy action figure series "ROBO-DOU", following the release of popular products from "Evangelion New Theatrical Edition" such as "Unit-01", "Unit-02", and "Unit-00'", is now set to release the latest "ROBO-DOU EVANGELION Unit-04"!
EVA Unit-04 is set in the "Neon Genesis Evangelion" anime as a unit manufactured by the NERV North American Branch. However, during the S2 Engine installation test, an accident occurred, opening a connection between space and the Dirac Sea, causing both the unit and the Second Branch to be absorbed and vanish into the Dirac Sea. Its appearance is similar to Unit-03, with its restraints featuring a contrasting silver-white paint scheme. It was also mentioned in "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance", but did not physically appear in the work.
The "ROBO-DOU EVANGELION Unit-04" materializes Unit-04, which previously only existed in its setting. The entire figure features metallic paintwork, with a striking contrast between silver and vibrant metallic red. Standing approximately 25 cm tall, the main body utilizes a die-cast zinc alloy frame and exterior armor, crafted from composite materials such as ABS, POM, and PVC. Alloy accounts for approximately 75% of the overall proportion, and the entire body boasts 48 points of articulation. While faithfully reproducing the EVA's proportions and design, it also significantly enhances stability and imbues the unit with a substantial metallic texture.
Accessories include a Progressive Knife and a rifle, as well as an interchangeable Entry Plug cockpit, allowing for the recreation of both insertion and extraction modes. The included Spear of Longinus features a special metallic red paint finish, echoing the overall metallic tone of the unit. Additionally, an Umbilical Cable and interchangeable hands for holding weapons are included, allowing collectors to fully enjoy recreating imagined scenes.
