Following numerous previous releases, the exquisite soft vinyl toy series "ASM" (ANIMATION SOFVI MUSEUM), issued by the renowned Japanese toy company MEDICOM TOY and themed around a nostalgic style, is set to launch its 10th wave of products in May 2026. This wave features two main characters from "Yu Yu Hakusho" (幽☆遊☆白書): namely, "Hiei" and "Kurama". Both are priced at 19,800 JPY.
Created by Japanese manga artist Yoshihiro Togashi, "Yu Yu Hakusho" (Japanese: 幽☆遊☆白書) received widespread acclaim from readers upon its release, becoming a sensation at the time. Its adaptations into anime, films, live-action dramas, and related games all represent its immense popularity. To this day, it remains a beloved favorite among many fans. The journey of protagonist Yusuke Urameshi and his companions Kuwabara, Hiei, and Kurama, from initial rivalry to forming a team to participate in the Dark Tournament and venturing into the Demon World, remains incredibly thrilling to recall.
For this 10th wave of the MEDICOM TOY ASM series, these two "Yu Yu Hakusho" characters, Hiei and Kurama, stand approximately 23 cm to 25 cm tall. Their appearance and styling primarily recreate their looks from when they participated in the Dark Tournament. Hiei is depicted wearing a light blue top and black trousers, with bandages wrapped around both hands, and wielding his demonic sword. Both arms can move up and down, and his legs also have a certain degree of articulation. Kurama, meanwhile, is presented in his elegant martial artist attire, holding his signature weapon, the "Rose Whip".
