Detective Conan The Movie M29 Title Confirmed: "Detective Conan: Highway's Fallen Angel" Speeds into Theaters Next April!

The "Detective Conan" movies have been a yearly staple for fans, and this year's 28th installment, "Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram," absolutely crushed it at the box office, raking in over 14.4 billion JPY. Its massive popularity is undeniable.

Today (December 2), the official announcement dropped: the 29th "Detective Conan" movie is officially titled "Detective Conan: Highway's Fallen Angel" (Japanese title: 名探偵コナンハイウェイの堕天使).

Mark your calendars! It's set to hit Japanese theaters on April 10, 2026. Alongside the announcement, creator Gosho Aoyama himself unveiled the very first teaser visual.

Back in late August, the official channels dropped a super-early teaser for the 29th film. And if you stuck around for the post-credits scene of "Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram," you'd already know the next movie's central figure: Kanagawa Prefectural Police Traffic Department's "Goddess of Wind," Chihaya Hagiwara. With a title like "Highway's Fallen Angel," it's pretty clear she's at the heart of this story.

The new visual doesn't just feature the striking tagline, "Don't get thrown off, kid!" (振り落とされるなよ、少年!); it also places the core characters—Chihaya Hagiwara and Conan—front and center.

Chihaya and Conan, riding a white-plate heavy motorcycle, are absolutely eye-catching. Behind her stands high school detective Masumi Sera, another biker who's meeting Chihaya for the first time, along with Kanagawa Prefectural Police detective Shigeo Yokomizo, who Chihaya constantly keeps on his toes.

What's particularly intriguing is the appearance of Chihaya's deceased younger brother, Kenji Hagiwara, and his similarly deceased friend, Jinpei Matsuda, at the top of the visual. Despite no longer being alive, their presence together has fans buzzing with curiosity about how they'll factor into this new case.

In other news, veteran voice actress Atsuko Tanaka, who previously voiced Chihaya Hagiwara in the anime and passed away last August, will be succeeded by Miyuki Sawashiro for the role.

Of course, with just the visual out, there's not much more info on the movie yet. We'll have to wait for official channels to drop more details!
