Danish toy company LEGO officially announced yesterday (9th) the latest product in its LEGO Ideas series, set number 21365, "Love Birds"! It is scheduled for release on January 1, 2026, with a suggested retail price of US$49.99.
The original design for this product comes from LEGO fan Modular Maniac's entry "Love Birds" in the LEGO Ideas building contest "Build from the Heart." This first-prize-winning creation used 411 pieces to build two pink birds standing closely together on a branch, looking very much in love. In addition to excellently shaping the birds' forms, the tree trunk further showcases Modular Maniac's design prowess. Although a large number of different types of pieces were used, the consistent color scheme and clever building techniques give it a rich sense of layering and natural vitality.
▼ Modular Maniac's original "Love Birds" design. The commercialized version now has 750 pieces, and once assembled, it stands approximately 22 cm tall and 31 cm long. The most noticeable change at first glance is the replacement of the pink flowers on the tree with green foliage, which visually highlights the two beautiful pink birds even more. The shape of the trunk and branches is also more complete and harmonious, with excellent detailing in many areas. As for the two coral-pink birds, there are also significant structural changes; in addition to the head, a whole curved piece is directly fixed to the abdomen, giving the impression of the birds' plump, fluffy feathers. From certain angles, one can also see the heart shape formed by the two birds together.
