Japanese gashapon toy manufacturer TOYS CABIN Co., Ltd. (株式会社トイズキャビン) has announced the transformable "Gatling Penguin Mech" gashapon series. There will be five different variations, with a suggested retail price of 500 JPY per capsule, slated for release in December 2025!
The "Gatling Penguin Mech" gashapon is based on the penguin mech illustrations by designer Gatling Santouhei (がとりんぐ三等兵). Standing approximately 7.2 cm tall, it faithfully recreates the penguin's seemingly harmless chubby physique, but watch out for the machine gun protruding from its mouth, aimed right at you! The head is designed to be rotatable, allowing it to transform into a prone position. By replacing the track parts, it can convert into a tank mode; the wings also feature articulated joints, capable of 360-degree rotation! In addition to the MARINE blue from the illustration, the series also includes five other colors: black and white REAL, desert-themed DESERT, military green MILITARY, and grayish-white BABY. The backpack and body serial numbers on its back are also meticulously reproduced!
