TAKARA TOMY's toy brand T-ARTS is set to release a stunning gashapon series this December, based on the works of Japanese artist Akiko Kino and her beloved cat, Ju-Han! This exquisite collection, titled "Black Cat and Collar Figure Collection" (黒猫と首輪 フィギュアコレクション), will be available for 300 JPY per capsule, with five unique designs to collect.
For toy enthusiasts who love traveling to Japan or enjoy chocolate, you're likely familiar with Ju-Han, the handsome black cat featured on the packaging of Hokkaido's CACAOCAT paw-print chocolates! Akiko Kino's meticulously designed collars for her beloved cat Ju-Han, along with the striking photos she took of him, have undoubtedly left a lasting impression on many cat lovers. In addition to the aforementioned collaboration with CACAOCAT for their beautiful packaging, Japanese publisher Genkosha also released an art book, "Black Cat and Collar," which will have you exclaiming "So cute!" with every turn of the page.
This collaboration between T-ARTS and Akiko Kino, a gashapon series sharing the same name as the "Black Cat and Collar" photo book, perfectly recreates Ju-Han wearing his craft-like collars at a height of 3.7 cm. From his jet-black fur and delicate fur texture to his calm and handsome expression, every distinctive detail of the collars has been meticulously reproduced, even down to the paw pads on his feet. The collection includes "Formal Bow Tie," the opulent and elegant "Victorian Gothic Punk," the imposing "Matador," the "Serious Mode Elizabethan Collar," and the "Fluttering Aristocrat." There are also two expressions, with the closed-eye version being incredibly adorable!
