Japanese high-quality collectible statue brand Prime 1 Studio, at its recently held new product announcement event 'NEXT LEVEL SHOWCASE XVI: REALMS BEYOND TIME', showcased prototypes of two new works from the movie Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time: the 'ULTIMATE PREMIUM MASTERLINE Asuka 1/4 Scale Statue' and 'ULTIMATE PREMIUM MASTERLINE Rei Ayanami 1/4 Scale Statue'. Pre-orders are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
The 'ULTIMATE PREMIUM MASTERLINE Asuka 1/4 Scale Statue' is crafted in her 'Deep Dive Pressure-Resistant Prototype Plugsuit' worn during the Yamato Operation in the film. It delicately sculpts her dynamic hair strands, slender figure, and intricate details of each part of the plugsuit, with rich color application to express the light, shadow, and gradient colors of her hair. The surface of the plugsuit also features a high-gloss paint finish to convey a smooth texture.
The 'ULTIMATE PREMIUM MASTERLINE Rei Ayanami 1/4 Scale Statue' is crafted in her long-haired appearance from the film, after losing her physical body and assimilating with the core of Unit-01, continuously protecting Unit-01 within the cockpit. It delicately sculpts the complex flow and voluminous shape of her long hair, combining clear parts with pearlescent paint to express a soft, lustrous texture. Each part of the plugsuit also features precise detailing, and its surface similarly boasts a high-gloss paint finish to convey a smooth texture.
The poses and base designs of both statues adopt a mirrored concept, allowing them to display elegant, complementary sitting poses when exhibited together. Both also include interchangeable head parts to recreate a 'smiling expression'. The bases are designed with hexagonal geometric elements, frequently seen in the film's technology, and can be combined.
