Kotobukiya's "Frame Arms Girl Durga II Black Ver." New Color Scheme Recreates a Dark Knight with a Different Personality!

Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced that the popular mecha girl plastic model series "Frame Arms Girl" will release a new product, "Durga II Black Ver.", in April 2026.

The prototype for the Frame Arms Girl "Durga" series comes from Kotobukiya's "Frame Arms" plastic model series, specifically the eponymous unit used for base defense by the lunar base faction. After being bishōjo-fied by illustrator Eiji Komatsu, it inherits the heavy armor characteristics of an "armored knight" and continues the voluptuous girl body style of the designer's "Magatsuki" Frame Arms Girl, creating an even more appealing contrast when paired with powerful heavy weaponry.

The "Frame Arms Girl Durga II Black Ver." is a modified version of the previously released standard kit. In contrast to the white and gold molding colors of the standard version, the entire model now features a red, black, and purple color scheme, presenting the image of a dark knight opposing it. All parts except for the skin parts use new molding colors. It also includes 4 newly printed expression parts supervised by Eiji Komatsu: "confident face," "smiling face," "puffed cheeks face," and "irritated face," expressing a different personality from the standard Durga II.

Other design aspects are essentially the same as the standard version. The body features pull-out chest and shoulder joints, sliding hip joints, and pull-out joints hidden within the thighs, providing flexible articulation. In addition to the same hairstyle as Durga I, new luxurious large ponytail hair parts have been added to express the dignified aura of a female knight. Furthermore, the bangs can be replaced with a cute style featuring the helmet removed and a ribbon tied.

By attaching the jet-black armor parts, it can transform from unarmed mode to armed mode. Some armor parts are made with clear red plastic, allowing the internal mechanical engravings to show through. The included decals can further recreate the vivid red carvings on the armor. The weaponry not only includes Durga I's spear but also Durga II's dedicated greatsword, shield, and the aiming jammer on top of the helmet. The spear can also be separated into a short spear and a mace, while the greatsword can be split into two one-handed swords. The front end of the shield can deploy claws and connect with sword blades, enhancing playability through the transformation mechanisms of each weapon!
